The company was founded in 1987 by a group of five individuals with broad experience in the metals distribution industry, with backgrounds as diverse as sales and marketing, engineering, metallurgy, purchasing, and accounting.
A successful company that employs over one (100) hundred people in five states, Interlloy has become a major supplier of Special Steels to the General and Heavy Engineering Industries, Toolmaking, Mining and Oil Field, Automotive, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pump, Power Generation and Transport Industries.
The large modern warehousing facilities operated in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Mackay and Albury-Wodonga are equipped with overhead cranes of up to sixteen (16) tonne lifting capacity, and the latest in cutting technology with bandsaw machines of up to 700mm diameter cutting capacity.

All branches stock a wide range of products and sizes; these include High Tensile, Case Hardening and Carbon Steel bar, Tool Steel, Hollow Bar in Carbon, High Tensile, and Stainless Steel; Cast Iron and Bronze (solid and hollow); Chrome Plated bar in Medium Carbon, Induction Hardened and High Tensile, Cylinder Tube, Feedline Tube, Bright Bar, Aluminium bar, Brass bar and Stainless Steel bar in grades 303, 304, 310, 316, 321, 410, 416, 420, 431, 440c, 630ph, 2205 & 2507 Duplex, and Marinox 22.
